FOUNDER AND SOLE PROPRIETOR

Dawie is a senior Attorney who began his professional career as a Magistrate which was a lengthy career for 17 years. Thereafter, he was admitted as an Attorney in 1999. He has been practicing as an Attorney for 25 years. His extensive legal career provides him with a wide range of experience and understanding in the legal field.

Dawie deals with each and every client his law firm represents and conveys a “hands-on” approach. He represents and advises his clients with professionalism and is capable of putting himself in their shoes to provide trustworthy legal and business advice.

Due to his many years of experience, Dawie has strategically curated a wide-range of professionals on his team and his large network allows for detailed and remarkable advice.

BELINDA HEYNS

SENIOR LEGAL SECRETARY AND BOOKKEEPER

Belinda has been the Senior Legal Secretary and Bookkeeper at our firm for 5 years. She has been working in the legal field for 42 years for various well-known firms. She is an asset to our team.

Belinda has a wide range of experience, notably, in the Magistrates Court. She also ensures that our bookkeeping is up to date. Belinda is transparent with all clients about our fees and she ensures that they are fully aware of the process after choosing us as their legal representative. Belinda portrays professionalism and allows our team to ‘’stay on track.’’

MARLENE SLABBERT

ADMITTED ATTORNEY & CONVEYANCER

Marlene is an attorney and conveyancer in the real estate business based in Pretoria.

She has more than 16 years of practice experience in conveyancing and property law. She has been managing her own conveyancing practice for the past 13 years, of which the past 7 years have been in association with Dawie De Beer Attorneys. She focuses on conveyancing transactions relating to residential and commercial property, agricultural holdings, and farms; property due diligence; advising developers on prospective property developments and assisting in the subsequent opening of townships and sectional schemes; and the general details of a property transaction and estate transfers.

Marlene holds a LLB degree from Rand Afrikaans University, Johannesburg.

GERZAN RIENE ROBINSON

ADMITTED ATTORNEY, NOTARY PUBLIC AND CONVEYANCER

Gerzan Riene Robinson was born in Pretoria, Gauteng. During 2006 she completed grade 11 and grade 12 during one school year. She completed a diploma in Method Acting during 2007 while she started her LLB journey. Her qualifications include an LLB degree and LLM (Estate Law) degree obtained from the University of Pretoria. She is an admitted attorney, with High Court Appearance, a Notary Public and Conveyancer. Her interests are property, estate-and trust law. She is strong, assertive and devoted to service excellence.

JANET MALAN

ACCOUNTANT

Janet has worked with Dawie since March 2005. She has been an accountant for 19 years and works independently. Janet is experienced in small businesses and Attorney’s practices and specializes in a variety of accounting services with outstanding support.

Janet has been a part of the team for very long and she assists us with all the major accounting necessities which are required to ensure that our firms finances are in control.

OUR CANDIDATE ATTORNEYS

Our law firm, specifically Dawie, is passionate about the law and in turn, teaches those around him. We hire two candidate attorneys at a time who then complete their clerkship before being admitted as legal professionals.

Our candidate attorneys work directly with Dawie and take on full responsibility with all clients that require our legal advice. Our candidates provide legal assistance to ensure that our reputation of professionalism, hard work and honesty is carried through.

Our candidates continue to learn and work within the expertise of family and matrimonial law, insolvency matters, civil litigation, debt collection, property related matters as well as CaseLines and Court Online platforms.

Alri van Vuuren

CANDIDATE ATTORNEY

Alri van Vuuren is a candidate attorney at our firm. She matriculated in 2019 and completed her Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of Pretoria in December 2023. Alri started her articles with our firm in January 2024.

Alri is passionate about learning and law. She is willing to assist in all matters and believes that you can turn any negative situation into a positive.
